Associate Negotiator, Print-Out of Home (OOH)

Note: This position has a hybrid work schedule in Pearl River, New York

The Associate Negotiator works with the support of the Director, Print/OOH to understand client objectives and handles the negotiation and placement of Print and Out-Of-Home (OOH) inventory on behalf of Active’s clients. 

• Schedules and attends, as needed, client, agency, and media vendor meetings with appropriate manager.
• With the assistance of Director, interacts with clients, media vendors and account managers regarding account pitches, status and negotiations.
• Responsible for RFP (Request for Proposal) process. Works with assistant to compose, coordinate, and distribute RFP to publication/vendor consideration list.
• Understand how each assigned account works and who the key contacts are on both the Active/Client side.
• Executes rate negotiation, while securing positioning and merchandising/value-added.
• Generates P&L (Profit and Loss) statements. Tracks expenditures to ensure compliance with budget.
• Works closely with Client Development and SPG teams within Active to ensure clients’ goals are met.
• Oversees ordering process workflow performed by assistants/coordinators when client approvals are received
• Monitors media agreements and contracts with outside media vendors.
• Monitors media for placement discrepancies and negotiates make good or credit adjustments when necessary.
• Manages inventory banks and initiates new trade opportunities.
• Assists in training new Print/OOH Media Assistants.

The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $55,000. The successful candidate’s salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications. • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience is required
• Minimum of 2 years of Print and/or OOH media buying or training required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and Powerpoint, required
• Proficiency in SpectraOX, a plus
