Overview

Note: This position is Hybrid to NYC

 

The Supervisor, Search & Social Media, is a hybrid role based in NYC, with responsibilities including planning and buying expertise across Paid Social Media and Search Engine Marketing. This role will actively manage and focus on cross platform Paid Social Media with oversight of Search campaigns and for overall client success.

 

The Supervisor will oversee and manage Paid Social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Reddit and others. The Supervisor will also handle SEM campaigns within the Google, Bing and YouTube platforms. The successful Supervisor will effectively manage the media budget, create cross-platform strategic proposals and work with the media team to maximize ROI, drive traffic, and new customer acquisition.

 

Additional responsibilities include owning the client relationship, guiding their business in the Paid Digital Media landscape, campaign strategy, activation, QA, troubleshooting, campaign optimizations, data analytics, and more.  This role requires leading processes and workflows to achieve set campaign and business goals. The ideal candidate will be a highly strategic, excellent people manager, who is able to balance high-urgency clients, demonstrate strong Excel skills; analyze data, extract insights and trends to drive client business forward.

 

Most importantly, the Supervisor contributes to the positive development of new and existing client portfolio through strategic thought leadership, develop and implement sophisticated cross-tactic strategies, and test and learn scenarios. Responsibilities

  • Take day-to-day ownership of all aspects of assigned accounts including client, agency and vendor communication as well as campaign budgeting, strategy, creation and optimization. Use team support for various tasks while also performing own hands-on execution.
  • Use proven experience and success to manage Paid Social & SEM campaigns across Meta, TikTok and other social media platforms as well as campaigns within Google, Bing and YouTube.
  • Use well-versed ability in performance marketing KPIs across B2B and D2C objectives: awareness, conversion, lead gen and online customer acquisition.
  • Display and use understanding of client goals and performance to develop successful strategies (with the guidance of Digital Director) to exceed campaign expectations.
  • Accurately launch, manage, and execute campaigns in Bid Management platforms, ensuring targeting, tracking and copy support client objectives.
  • Effectively use in-depth understanding of how Paid Social, Search and Display campaign set-ups allow for maximum optimization and best business practices.
  • Work collaboratively with counterparts across Data and Analytics, Media Buying Operations, Media Partnerships, and Digital Integration departments to ensure a unified approach to client success.
  • Mentor team members to organize data into actionable insights and learnings.
  • Monitor and analyze web-related data together with key metrics to make constant optimizations to campaigns.
  • Provide bulletproof recommendations that factor in campaign goals, historical performance, benchmarks and potential issues.
  • Assist with new business proposals and pitches.
  • Function as spokesperson for AMS’s paid social and search capabilities.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises several team members including a Media Assistant and Sr. Media Buyer and will provide mentorship to them.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000. The successful candidate’s salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Media, Advertising and/or Marketing preferred, or equivalent work experience required.
  • At least 4+ years of related experience in a Paid Digital Media role is required.
  • Required team management expertise of 2+ years minimum.
  • In-depth understanding of campaign success metrics: conversions, pacing, target CPAs, etc. is essential.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in the following platforms, a must-have: Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok (Google AdWords, YouTube – a plus).
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, a must-have.
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills are required.

 

Strong Pluses:

  • Knowledge in gtag implementation and GTM.
  • Knowledge in following platforms: TikTok, Bing, Twitter, SnapChat, Pinterest, and Reddit.
  • Knowledge utilizing third party ad serving platforms (e.g., DoubleVerify).
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends, Shopify).
  • Experience in utilizing audience and competitor research and analytics platforms (e.g., Resonate, Telmar/MRI, Pathmatics).
  • Experience working with a variety of budgets in Paid Social & Search accounts a strong plus ($50K- $1M+).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be process oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. Time management skills are critical.
  • Internal drive for excellence, gaining knowledge and learning new skills.
  • Agency or marketing experience is strongly preferred.

 

Travel

This role will require regularly scheduled travel up to 10% of the time.
